Still looking for a good value bench top saw
After trawling the net for some time I still have not found a good reliable bench top saw,I had a Ryobi which had a lot of shortcomings so I off loaded it to my son who is doing a lot of refurbishment on his house.Initially I was interseted in the Makita mlt100,but it had alot of adverse reports about the fence, build quality, etc ,the Hitachi brand fared no better in fact I could not find one review on them.Iam mostly building small furniture items eg tables short case clocks etc
Any recomendations from the collective wisdom of the forum would be appreciated.

I think the MJ2325 saw is a good choice. but its more of a table saw than a bench top saw. you can add component to it to make it a sliding table saw. but its huge compare to a benchtop saw.
