Default Lost key for Black and Decker 1215 type B Radial Arm Saw

I was given a Black and Decker model 1215 radial arm saw by the father in law and until now havent had a need to use it. My problem is that somewhere along the line the key has gone missing meaning it cant be operated. Can a replacement key be found anywhere or is there a fix that will enable me to make the saw useful once more.

Check the Black and Decker spare parts website based in Mooroolbark, Vic, as some parts for older machines etc are still available. I was able to get brushes for a drill that was over 20 years old.
    Hope that helps

    Default Pick the lock

Take a look on Youtube for information on lock picking, it is easier than you think and just requires a little time with easy to make or buy tools. I can't remember what l had that originally needed unlocking, might have been an older computer server I was given. Ever since I learnt about it and made a couple of tools, the skill has been very useful. I can now get old door locks, toolboxes, anything with a lock without the key, pick the lock and re-key it to a key I have very quickly and cheaply. The tools can be as simple as a bent nail and a lock rake made out of an old hacksaw blade, if you have a grinder you can make them.

I recently bought an expensive vehicle bicycle rack that had no key, at a garage sale, half an hour playing and it's now keyed to work with my car key. Which actually works out better than if it had it's own key, I don't have to worry about another special key getting lost.

Default Make a key impression for the lock.

Just read about a technique on how to create a new key for a lock rather than picking it and thought I'd post the link here since it fits with this post too:

    Hope that helps someone.
