Default Lubricant for sliding table of a Minimax panel saw?

I have been noticing that my sliding table/wagon on the panel saw of my Minimax combination machine doesn't glide as well as it used to. On closer inspection, I could see a small amount of surface rust on the tracks that the bearings run in (perhaps due to recent wet weather).

I'll probably hit it with a scotch brite pad and then lubricant (unless someone has another solution).

Can anyone suggest a suitable lubricant for a sliding carrage of a panel saw?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Hi Ben,

Minimax recommend petrol as a lubricant, I leaves enough oil behind to smooth things up, but not enough to attract dust..
