Default Makita 2704 2705 and riving knife

I know a couple of people on the forum have one, so thought at least one person has tried....

Does anyone know for certain if the 2705 riving knife can be fitted to the 2704 riving knife mount? Really would like not to slice up the stock one (which I find to be extremely thin with too much flex for my liking).

Makita won't get back to me- I must have offended them in some way by buying a table saw from them.

I remember looking for aftermarket (even a quick release) and thought I had found one for later purchase but for the life of me cannot find it now after a fair bit of googling.

Even sharkguard doesnt list one on their models, I'm just wondering how much small laser cutting is for stainless if I supplied the template?

After a bit of replacement part googling, it seems the 2705 knife has the same knife as the mlt100- can anyone with one of those tell me how thick/rigid the knife is? If it's the same thickness (approx 1.8 mm) as the 2704 one I won't bother as there's even less meat one these ones.

As I'm resawing some 140yr old aust hardwood, I really need some stiffness further up the knife, I get the feeling I'd be better off with board buddies coupled with the featherboard like steel pro splitter (if I can manage to install one on a zero clearance version of makitas diabolical insert plate), instead of the flimsy stock knife.
