After Market Mitre Gauges
I want to purchase a better mitre gauge for my Bosch GTS 10 saw. Have the Incra 1000se in my sights. Has anyone had any experience of this gauge with the Bosch GTS 10 and I guess fundamentally dose it fit the T groove?

hitch, can't answer your question re Bosch GTS 10, but can say that the Incra 1000SE is a fantastic mitre gauge. It fits the standard mitre slot (3/4" x 3/8") on my tablesaw very well, I don't know what size the mitre slot on the Bosch is.
I have converted my 1000SE to metric, with the metric tracks nad metric scales.

Ditto what Big Shed said. I've an Incra and it works a treat. Highly accurate once calibrated and that is easy. Would be surprised if it didn't fit, it has adjusting cams so that it fits the slot with no side wiggle.
Cheers,
Bob

Thanks Big Shed and Bob. I've taken the plung and ordered the 1000se - will soon find out if it fits. Have done rough measurments and it appears the trunk of the T grove in my Bosch saw MAY be about 2mm narrower than required - I have only basic measuring gear, old eyes and the groove has rounded sides. If that is so are you aware of any procedure/tool I can use to safely widen the groves a couple of mm's - think that's about .08".
Thanks
Ian

Thanks Bob. Haven't been able to find anything specific about widening the groove on saw tables however have identified router bits designed for edging & grooving aluminium. I have a strong router and a straight edge so could get the job done that way if it becomes necessary.
Big Shed, the 1000se I have ordered is coming with a "bonus" metric conversion kit - you beauty!

The 1000se arrived today and does not fit the Bosch GTS 10 (I think Bosch 4000 in USA) mitre grooves. Have found a local engineer who thinks it no problem to widen to 19mm (3/4") - about a 2.5mm (0.098") adjustment. It's booked in for next Tuesday 20/11. The 1000se looks great and is heaver than I anticipated. I look forward to it's first trial in about a week.

Got the saw back from the engineers yesterday and they have done a spot on job. The 1000se fits the slots beautifully, I have calibrated it and off to my shop now to make some stuff. Life's great - wouldn't be dead for quids!!

Great that it has all worked out, as a matter of interest how much did the engineer charge you for this work
cheers

Richard sorry to open an old thread but I purchased a 1000SE and I have the Bosch saw as well. I took your advice and had my miter slots machined to 19mm and the gauge fits perfectly. The only problem I have is the gauge does not sit flush with the table it is probably about 2-3mm above the table. Did your engineer also mill the bar thinner as well as making the slots wider? I thank you in advance for any insight you might have regarding my questions.
