The specification similarities and virtually identical appearance with the Sherwood (Timbecon) SWMS300 would lead me to suspect that both saws are out of the same factory so there might be a chance that Timbecon could help you.

Also found the following image of the saws innards, with a riving knife, online that might help. If the worst comes to the worst you could always make some zero clearance inserts and glue a hardwood splitter into the insert in line with the rear of the blade. Not the same as a rise and fall riving knife but a hell of a lot better than nothing.

i wasn't aware that timbecon were now manufacturing this model! - i rang them and they were very firm on not helping me. Because it is not their saw they do not want to help. pretty crap since i buy everything from them.,....at the moment anyway! I have also tried to get some info from Greg's as apparently they still stock this saw.

Hey cossi - Sounds like we are doing the exact same thing, but I'm in Melbourne.

I recently got an old TS-222 that needs a big cleanup. I reached out to Timbecon since the Sherwood is the same version (MBS300), but they said the same thing, can't help with anything that is not their product specifically. Disappointing because the Sherwood must be close to exactly the same.

Gregmach were helpful, they provided an old MBS300 Operation Manual. Useful and nice to have, but the parts list is not very specific "bearing shaft", "belt", but scarce on the measurements etc.
They also mentioned that could likely provide a new fence.

As far as I can tell, not really a riving knife off the shelf that would fit. I had planned to make a splitter.

I still have to clean it up, but will definitely need new v-belts, splitter, blade guard/dust extraction. Possibly a new fence depending how that comes up.

That's great! When you order, do you mind sending me through the info? Would be good to check out as if it fits I'd probably order one for myself. Splitter was a last resort sort of option...

Mine is single phase. The bloke I bought it off had it running off a normal outlet, but I do have a 15amp socket available, so was planning to use that.
Looking forward to cleaning it all up!

Resurrecting an old-ish thread. Did you find a source for a riving knife for this saw?
I just got a Hafco ST-12D which is practically the same saw, same Taiwanese manufacturer.
Here's their riving knife for it.

The saw comes stock with a guard assembly attached to an extended riving knife mounted above the blade. The extended riving knife is super annoying - it really gets in the way, especially with cuts using the mitre fence, or when cutting 45 degree bevels close to the rip fence.

I'm getting a overhead dust guard, so looking for a better riving knife.

Definitely looks like the correct part. I just took a measurement, and the height from the mounting block to the top of the blade is bigger the height of this riving knife.
