Default Micro adjuster for tablesaw fence

Hi guys/girls. I want a micro-adjuster for my tablesaw fence. Something like this Table Saw Magnet Micro Adjuster™ - Rockler Woodworking Tools . The problem is that that one wont work because the front face of my front rail is aluminium - so not magnetic. Therefore, I'll probably need to make my own. I'm curious as to whether anyone else has made one - and if so could you share how you made it. I could design one myself, but want to hear other people's ideas first as they are usually better then mine.

    cheers

OK, so lacking any other input I went ahead and made one anyway. I make a lot of jigs and fixtures - some work some dont - but in terms of how it has transformed a work practice this has to be one of the best. If, like me, you have a need for a lot of accuracy out of a tablesaw then you really should make yourself one of these. Its amazing the degree of accuracy you can get out of even a moderately priced tablesaw with this.

The way it works is that the base is fixed to the rail using the two horizontal bolts, which press against a non-slip wooden baffle inside, which presses against the rail. Locked firmly in place and far enough out of the way to not impede macro-adjustments of the fence, the top plate is then slid up till the adjuster contacts the fence. As you 'sneak up' on a cut, you unlock the fence, turn the red handle - one 1/4 turn per half mm - then lock the fence while making sure it is firmly seated against the adjuster.

Previously I would have done this with slight taps on the fence while watching the scale, a horrible error prone method in comparison.

I'll convert the bolts to something a bit more hand-friendly later.
