Default Minimax CU300 Cut quality / vibrations

G'day all, I've had a CU300 Combination machine for a while now. Prior to this I was used to using large, heavy industrial scale panel saws.
The cut finish on these saws was nearly glassy smooth when using a sharp crosscut blade. The CU300 by comparison is rough and not of a standard I would have expected.
My question is. Am I justified in expecting a similar cut quality? Or is this to be expected?
Note: there is a very slight vibration through the saw cabinet when the saw is running. This was also present in another CU300 that I had a chance to look at.
(Using a 300mm 72 tooth AKE Crosscut blade.)

    Thanks for your help.

It could be as simple as blade differences from the saws you have previous experience on. Incorrect sliding table alignment could be another reason, the table should be set to prevent the back of the blade touching the timber and this means the table must be toeing out slightly away from the blade. You should be able to hear if this is happening at the end of the cut. I don't know if MM supply full set up manuals but it would be worth finding out and getting one if possible to confirm all settings as there are a lot of them on a slider.

Thanks Chris, The blades I'm using are the same brand and style I used to use and the sliding table has been set to slightly toe out. Next I'll try a smaller blade (250mm) see if that stabilises things.
SCM/Minimax supply decent manuals but it doesn't shed any light on this sort of issue. Their technicians are good and helpful but don't seem to know too much about this specific machine. I was hoping that someone with the same machine had some experience to share.
    Cheers.

I have an identical machine. Without the ability to have a look at your machine, it's hard to give a comparison. However, it is sufficient to say that I am not experiencing what you are. Do you have some photos of completed cuts?

With the split scriber set perfectly, I can get edges so sharp on melamine coated boards that I have learnt (the hard way!) to wear gloves when handling cut workpieces. Perfect cross cuts on solid wood with glass smooth finishes.

Rips are usually good but if it isn't, it will be because I have accidentally added some toe-in when replacing the fence rail.

I'm using CMT and Freud blades and a Dimar scriber.

Thanks Mark, That's what I was hoping for confirmation of.

Is there a slight vibration/hum through your saw cabinet? And what size are your blades 250mm or 300mm?

As I said, it's a bit hard to offer a comparison sight unseen. Maybe a recording of the saw running without cutting? I will send you a private message with my email address that you can send that to.

    I'm running 300mm blades.
