Thanks Anodyne. I have not drawn up a plan. I think that it is obvious what to do from the photos. What do you want to know?

Nothing special Derek, you did state you could post details of the build and my ears pricked up- thought there may be some pearls!
I agree the photos are the key
BTW I watched the Fritz and Franz video- on my Felder slider I can bring the short fence up to the blade so I can cut small pieces to some degree. If I was to build this I would consider a Kip lever instead of the handle and try to make an insert for the mitre slot, may be a problem with insertion if the slot is blocked by the locating dowels but could be slipped in from the far end and left in place. The purpose would be to lock the moving fence.

Anodyne, as a long time user of the F&F jig I have never found it necessary to even think about a clamp for the moving block. Try making a quick one, nothing fancy just something to do the job and give it a go. My first one was two bits of 18mm MDF which I used for at least three years because I didn't think it was worth trying to make a better mouse trap so to speak.

I did something similar for my Minimax machine but ended up binning it. It was too cumbersome.
I bought an Incra mitre guide and made a replacement bar that fits the Minimax slot from HDPE. Eventually, I suppose, the bar will wear to the point from insertion and extraction that it will need to be replaced; but that will be a long time away. It isn't moving in the slot except for insertion and extraction. The sliding table is doing the hard work.
