Mj2325d
We seem to have a very limited selection of table saws on the market in NZ.
Carbatec NZ does not stock the TSC10HB but recommends the MJ2325D.
Can anyone throw some light on this chinese saw?
thanks.

I looked at that saw before I bought the TSC10HB last year. At the time either saw was a big step up from my trusty old Triton but in the end I went for the extra HP, full cabinet saw construction, more robust fence, triple belt drive etc. From memory the MJ23425D has aluminium rails and fence & is built more like benchtop saw mounted to a pressed steel base. We're probably a bit spoilt for choice here but the Jet contractor saw and the the Jet supersaw also look like great units in the $800-$1500 price bracket (not sure if they are available in NZ).
Carbatec are extending their range here so maybe they'll also do that in NZ. The guys in the Melbourne shop were great and there was a wait of about 5 weeks for delivery
Good luck with the decision

Next to no choice on the NZ market and in the 10" saws only low end Chinese represented these days.
Checked out a few MJ saws today and I was a bit shocked at the lack of flatness of the machined tables, fences etc.
I also had a look at a Tc-12 by mikiway(Taiwan) and the quality was so much better.
Either I purchase a big 12" saw or
the decision will be which international freight company I go with!!!
