    Default ML-392 minor problem

I have recently had my blades sharpened & after much mucking around got them back in & planing nicely with no snipe. However I have noticed I am getting some raised lines (maybe 0.2mm) along the length of the jointed face. It's not much & is easily removed with a scraper. It looks to be coming from the "teeth" of the tables where they meet at the cutter. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I was thinking of attacking the edges of these square teeth with a bit of wet & dry as they are quite sharp. It wasn't doing this before & I should mention I've only put a few bits of pine over it to try it out.....it might not be an issue with some hardwood.

    Thanks for any help

I also experience this problem. After a little searching around I believe that it is coming from the teeth. I only have the one line down my work, and not all the time. I have not been able to isolate it to a particular tooth. So far I have learnt to live with it and sand it out. Will be interested to know how your sanding of the teeth goes.

Well Bob, looks like I'l be living with it too. Spent an hour or so with some 220 grit on the leading edge & inside the teeth just knocking off the sharpness & it didn't make any difference. Bugger.

Are you sure it's not a tiny nick in the blades from a bit of dirt? If it is, you can get rid of it by moving the blades so the nich in each blade doesn't line up with the others.

Yep, reckon it's the blades (or one of them) now cause it does it in thicknesser mode too. Might try offsetting them a bit as suggested.
