Default For the owners of Hitachi 256mm C10FL Table Saw

I found myself in a ridiculous situation.
Want to upgrade from Triton to "real" table saw. The problem is that it has to be moved from time to time through door jamb and I need to take measurements of the assembled saw table to figure it out.
This Hitachi looks a bit smaller than Jet, Carbatec, Leda etc etc (they all do not fit). However, no outlet in Melbourne and Sydney (as far as I know)
has it physically in stock. Hitachi is no help either.
Perhaps some good Samaritan could take a measure of table's width (I assume it is side with hooks)

I can imagine that fence can be taken off easily.
    So, what is the number?
BTW, is motor sticking out or hidden inside the cage?

    Thank you for your help

Hitachi Aus product page: C10FL Product Sheet, C10FL Exploded Diagram and Parts Listing, C10FL Product Manual

    Table Size: 1,030mm x 690mm

Add the front and back rails to 690mm and even with the fence removed I highly doubt it'll fit through an 820mm opening.

Motor is inside the cabinet, no dimensions that I could see from a quick scroll. Love that the official Hitachi Aus site uses a dodgy scan of a photocopy for their own product manuals.

I had a quick read about this saw awhile back when I saw one at Colli Hardware in Perth. Very mixed reviews, I don't think it's worth anywhere near the asking price anymore. It was going for around USD$500 and at that price it had a lot of happy owners: http://lumberjocks.com/reviews/product/33 If you can get one for $700-$800 maybe.

If getting it through a doorway is an absolute must, then I don't think you'll find anything more capable than your Triton. My little Ryobi BT3100 is around 700mm from rail to rail but I'd hardly call it an upgrade or a "real" table saw. Good luck with your search.

    Default Thank you

I guess the only remaining option is 8'' Leda (TS-8) - it will fit.

That one? Ticks all the boxes: fair price, cast iron main table, good features. Shame it's not a 10" in the same package. Though I guess it depends on what kind of work you're doing, the extra cut depth might not be missed, can always flip the work piece and double cut.

I'm no expert but it looks like a good deal, let us know how you go, a review would be great.

I happened to be in Adelaide and went to their showroom. It is not the greatest saw I've seen but I bought it.
Depth of cut is 600 mm which is 50 mm better than my Triton.
Will try to post a review

Welcome to the forum Kolosol1. When we refer to the depth of cut we mean how far the blade protrudes above the table which determines how thick the timber is that you can cut. Your 600mm is the ripping capacity. So having said that, what is the greatest thickness at 90 deg that your saw will cut?
The new saw should be a lot easier to use than tweeking the Triton fence all the time. The Triton had its place, but with the lower cost of dedicated table saws now, its hard to go past one. Enjoy your new toy.

    Default of course...

it should be 60(Leda)and 55 mm (Triton).

I foresee tweaks of their own with a new saw.
In the show room fence and miter track were clearly misaligned . But I am sure this issue will be rectified. BTW, Leda just introduced full length fence replacing this joke.
