It is almost identical to my Elu and I bet it does not cost anywhere near what I paid for mine.
    Three year warranty too!

$399 but I read the warranty and wondered what they define as frequent use

    • If the product has been used for professional or industrial use.

The price is considerably reduced compared to the price I paid for the Elu, $1800 some years ago.

    Dear Chaps,

Only thing is - it has a Universal-type motor (ie. with Brushes), as well as Gears (rather than a Belt-drive), so it's going to be as noisy as any other Mitre Saw - rather than lovely and quiet like a real Elu .

    Best Wishes,
    Batpig.

I don't think I will buy one then, I will stick with my nice quiet Elu.

I think the genuine Elu will just keep on going while the Ozito will go the way Ozito's go. I see the power rating is about 10% more and the speed nearly double. Even the cut depths have increased in some areas. Still a screaming banshee

I think from memory, I bought my Elu about 15 years ago and it has had quite a workout on site and in the workshop and I have only had to replace a lead. I don't think you would get that sort of good wear out of the Ozito

I have found that at the end of the day, a good blow out with the air hose is beneficial, especially if you have been cutting MDF.

Looks like a knock off of the Dewalt flipover saw,the dw742 ,which was a knock off of the old Elu,last time I looked (this was some considerable time ago) the Dewalt was about $1500

Could explain the almost identical drop saw with the Ozito logo.

Had a look at one in Bunnies yesterday seem robust enough, cast frame, wheels, probably ok for weekend warriors, but wouldnt know if you were building a house or doing an extension.
