Possible new saw purchase
I'm looking to replace my current table saw and I am looking at this saw from a local distributor in Hobart.as you can see in the photo there is no brand name only a model number the retailer recons that the same saw is sold by cabatec and hare and forbes and many others and that it is badged to match I have found a saw in the caratec catalog with the same number but it appears quite different any thoughts would be welcome.
Thanks Terry

Hi Terry,
It looks like a Sherwood from Timbercon in Perth.
See if this looks close.

I think you will find its made in China and will come under a multitude of names. If you ordered a container load you could even get them called an Arnold. I went searching with my thicknesser and found it branded as a delta and another 2 names which escape me for the moment.

Hi Terry I have just sold my saw which is the one you are looking at. The saw was great with the exception of the fence I found it difficult to get it to stay square so a made my own clone of a biesemyer style fence ( I posted the pictures) . Also because the riving knife hangs on the back you have to remove it to do tench cuts. But overall its a good saw.

Thanks for the information, I don't have a problem with Chinese manufacture in this day and age your flat out finding something made anywhere else. But the fence not staying squire now there's a problem and the reason I'm looking to buy a new saw in the first place as my current saw has the same problem but after 15 years of constant use on every thing from firewood to furniture a little ware is to be expected.
Cheers Terry
