Well I picked one up this afternoon. They had both models on display, and the 10a did look like the picture Bill posted. I got the other one for $898, and bought a 10" extra blade (which the guy said was the one I needed, so we'll see when it's out if it's smaller or not), as the one poking out of the setup saw looked very dodgy.
Mine's in a box in the back of the car still. When I get it out and setup, I'll post some pictures and hopefully I've ended up with the right gear.
Thanks all for your help during the decision making process. Now comes the fun of trying to get it all assembled and working efficiently. I'm sure I'll have follow up questions

Well, unloaded this morning. Here's a couple pictures of the process. The manual says Model S-10A. So much for the correlation with the TTD model numbers.
Now, it seems I have a saw blade issue.
As you can see in the last picture, the 250mm extra blade I bought, which I asked the guy if it would fit the saw (sorry I'm a bit clueless on saw blade specifications and fitting), dos match in that it is a 10" blade (sorry Damian, not sure why yours is different, but it seems it is 10". I was hoping, but oh well) but it seems the arbor size should be 16mm, and they sold me a 30mm bore blade.
Do I need to take it back? Do I need a bush? I think I read somewhere people said bushes didn't work very well? These were the only blades they had I think - I don't remember seeing a smaller arbor version.
Also, the blade they supply looks pretty crappy to me. Is it any use for anything? I want to get fine finished cutting in thin material. I grabbed the 60T version as I wasn't sure how much difference there was between 60T and 80T.
Any advice?

Oh I just realised something else.
It was shown on display with the router fence, which isn't included in what I got. So I'm guessing it's supposed to be an optional extra?? They had the saw price tag actually stuck on the router fence, so I just assumed it was included. Man, I really should learn to ask more questions before I buy something

I cna't see any pics. I will assume you have bought what I bought.
The router frnce is included and comes in a seperate box. I bet they forgot to give it to you.
If it's the same saw as mine it definitely is a 12". They can take 10" blades. You can always put a smaller blade on a bigger saw, but not the other way around.
The one that came with mine was a 12" "green" brand, and shockingly painted green. If yours is the same don't be put off, it's a remarkably good blade.
So, get in touch with the store, point out they have gipped you on the router fence and that it's in a seperate box. Also point out they have sold you the wrong blade and you need a 16 mm hole. They should either exchange the blade or supply a bush.
Unfortunately TTD aren't big machine specialists and I've found 3/4 of the staff down there are absolutely hopeless, they literally know nothing about those machines. There are a couple of blokes that do.
Where is Maryvale ? If your not too far away I'm happy to come and help you sort it out.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

Oops, pictures. Sorry about that.
Maryvale is 15 minutes past Cunningham's gap, on the way to Warwick Which is the pain. I work from 7am - 4:30pm usually, with an hour on the bus from my car, so getting there while I'm in Brisbane is a pain, and it's a long trip back to Brissy on the weekends, and not the place you want to return to when your weekends are the getaway from the city .
The router fence is a separate box, outside of the table, or inside the table box? I'll double check I haven't missed it, then giv ethem a call & see what they say. Wedding anniversary today though, so the wife has other plans, and Toowoomba tomorrow - I thought country life was supposed to be relaxing?

Your has black legs and a different shaped motor cover. Fence and housing look identical. The blade is different to the one I got, mine has about 80 teeth.
Very disapointing. Have a look at the website I linked to at the end of the TTD thread, or earlier in this thread. Compare the pics to what you've got. Check what the manual says the saw is (mine says 10" 12" saw), check the motor power, check for cast iron trunions.
The router fence came in a seperate box, ie a box outside and completely seperate to the saw.
Personally if they won't include it and make the blade issue right I'd be taking the whole thing back for a refund. You've really had a bad run with this haven't you ?
I'm at Mt Crosby so your place is what, about an hour ?I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

What is the size of the arbour hole in the blade? Mine is 30 mm and it was a freud blade from memory. Definately 300 mm blade.
The router fence was in a seperate box.
I will be going down that way tomorrow. if there is anything i can do let me know.
Cheers,
Russ

Just a bit more info.
Checked Damians web page. The only obvious difference I can see there, is image #7, which shows the blade guard. The one in your pictures looks the same as the one that was on the $1,398 table saw next to the one I got. Everything else looks pretty much the same from what I can see.
Your manual definitely says 12m10, which is what the guy told me was the model on the phone, but the model on my manual, and on the plate on the saw body, says S-10A, and 1.5HP, not 2 as on yours.
So, it seems either the designs have changed, or you got the $1,398 saw for a bargain price? It was supposed to be the 12m10A according to the guy on the phone originally, which he said was the 12" version at $1,398. Still, my model is not the one they told me it was.
*sigh*
So I'm not sure whether it was a good buy or not now (assuming I can get the fence). The Hare & Forbes model at $990 doesn't have the router table, but it's a 3hp/12" unit. The carbatec unit is also 3hp, but only 10", and no router table.

OK well, just spoke to our friends at TTD.
They apologised for not have the router fence, and are getting that in. They tell me I have to take their expensive blades, which come with bushes to reduce down to the size I need. not the cheaper TTD blades which have no bushes, and they will refund that one for me.
But as for the saw, the S-10A they reckon is the 12m10, they just renumber it, and my "friend" that i was comparing against with the 2hp/12" version IS the 12m10A, not the 12m10, so tough luck - I got what I paid for on that front .

I was out there a while ago. Yours is definately a different saw to the one I got. It is a 10 inch saw and 1.5 HP.
Mine is 12 inch and 2 HP and interestingly the plate on it says 12M10. It also has a 15 amp plug whereas yours has a 10 amp one.
The other model they had is totally different to mine as it is a Cabinet Saw where mine is a Contractors saw. It had a different fence as well.
I guess it means I got great value.
Cheers,
Russ

Take it back. They have shafted you. If they argue you can point out they have mislead you on a number of issues and run you around.
For what you've got you might as well have bought the darn $900 saw.
If you can run 15 amp get the carbatec saw, you can always add a router extension later and there are plenty of ways of doing that.
I am genuinely sorry this has worked out so badly for you. I won't be touting the TTD saw anymore since they aren't selling what they sold me, or offering anything similar in value.
