Raised panel jig
Hi all, I received an email from a forum member asking about my jig for doing raised panels, my jig specifically I made for doing tenons but I'm sure it would do a raised panel using the sliding table and the blade tilted at an angle.
Basically the jig supports the rail/stile/panel in an upright position, it's just some scrap melamine chipboard which bolts to the slider via some tee slot nuts

Hope it is of some value, even if nothing more than a spark of an idea for your own jig.
When I use it I butt the jig up to the cross cut fence for additional support.
An alternative method of fixing the jig to the slider is directly via the cross slide fence as I have done with the cross cut sled.

I find this to be quicker than bolts thru to tee nuts in the slider.

I make raised door panels from 18mm blackwood using the slider set up on my Minimax CU300 saw unit. I just made a solid wood frame that I clamp to the sliding table and clamp the door panels (on edge) to that then run them past the saw with the blade inclined to around a 20 degree angle. A 96 tooth fine CMT blade gives an excellent finish.
Cheers,
