Thread: Recommendations for a tricky sized table saw blade

If the main difficulty is obtaining blades with a 30mm bore, saw doctors can open the bore for most blades to suit most arbour sizes. There should be saw doctors around the Sydney suburban area, there are plenty around the Melbourne suburbs. Generally they work with/supply/maintain blades for the metalwork, woodwork, and milling industries. Should be relatively cheap also as it is a fairly simple task, but if you are looking at 3 separate blades for different functions, getting them all done in one go reduces setup time, and overall cost.

The folks over at Carbatec have a vast range of CMT blades in the 10" size with 30mm arbours on them.

I have to say when I was looking around for blades myself for my SawStop, I had picked a bunch from Freud, and had about 4 blades lined up ready to buy from the US. An urgent need for a rip blade made me stop in and get one of the CMT's from Carbatec (I think it was all of $60), and I was actually so impressed with that blade and the performance, I am planning on forgoing the Freud import, and locating the appropriate set of CMT's instead.

If this is for the dewalt contractors saw Bunnings can order the dewalt blades in as special order. (My mistake. These need 210mm diameter, 30mm arbor which is less common)

Saying that though, i ordered a diablo blade from the uk via ebay which is the one i leave in the machine. I Can't find that one anywhere on these shores.

+1 on the CMT blades, I too have 250mm with 30mm arbour cabinet saw.
I got my CMT blades from Timbecon. They are better than the Diablo blades I replaced.

There are plenty of 250mm x 30mm blades available, CMT, Freud + DeWalt. Its a common enough size.

Would like to slightly refine the question to ‘highest possible quality blades’ - I’m thinking Leitz or equivalent std.
