    Default RH Extension wing on panel saw???

    Hiya,

    What use is a RH extension table on a panel saw?

    I've recently upgraded from a cabinet saw to a panel saw that has a RH extension and I can't imagine why I might need it. Sure, on a cabinet saw it will let you move the fence further right to rip wide sheets, but I can do that on the LHS now.

    Anyone using a RH extension on panel saw?

    If I don't need it, I can take it off and get back some lost garage space.

    Hi Monoman, i find i still use it for smaller cuts/trimming but 95% of work is done on the slider. Last time i used it was for trimming a couple of mm of some kitchen kickers.

    I'd say stick to the current setup for a few weeks before making the change unless its a pretty quick change.

    I got a 10yo Minimax SC3.

    I don't use sheet goods (except for the very occasional sheet of ply for draw bottoms).
