Bah Humbug. Everything went pear shaped when I tried to add the photos. I'll try again.

Seems like a great machine. Not the Woodfast I saw on the weekend. The features you describe for the price is really great value for money. Even at the higher price that you did not pay, it will be a great deal.

Harry's reply
Menbers of the nipickers union will tell you that you are wrong Harry, because we can't hear a thing!
However it certainly looks like a good deal.

Saws
There's a company here called Steel City. It was started by some ex-Delta, ex-Jet etc designers and execs a couple of years ago. They started selling a chinese made Titanium coated cabinet saw about a year ago. I saw some photos of one a couple of months ago, that one didn't have the best coating. gaps in the miterslots and a corner of the table. This is the same company that just started selling granite topped cabinet saws, bandsaws, jointers etc. It won't rust but no telling how it will hold up to abuse.
By the way Kevin; congrats on the saw.

Differences between CTH-110L and CTH-110R
Having a quick read through the new online Carbatec catalog today, and came across these twins on p. 85 (CTH-110L and CTH-110R). Was confused by the differences in weight and price until I came across this thread.
So does anyone know if the deluxe features are only available on the left-tilting saw?
BTW, this is the first saw in this price range I've seen that will take a real dado (up to 20mm).
Excuse me while I check the sofa for loose change...

Differences
Hi Switt 775,
Looking at the two saws. the reason for the considerable difference in weight and price is that the left leaning blade model has a much more complicated and heavy trunnion. There is a lot more cast iron in the left leaner.
cheers
Kevin

Carbatec Left Titling Table saw CTH-110L
Hi All
I have also been assessing cabinet saws and have zeroed in on the above saw. only problem is that I have little space in the garage and will have to mount the cabinet saw on a mobile frame (carba tec have a 300 kg frame). Does anyone have any experience with this scenario - with the above saw
