    Default New Sawstop Compact

    This looks interesting:
America's #1 table saw. The leader in table saw safety | SawStop

    Some info here:
SawStop Announces Upcoming Release of New Compact Table Saw - Sawstop

Could potentially be an accurate portable saw. I don't know if, or when it will be in Australia.

Starting at $1483.00 AUD based on current exchange rate of USD, can't see a big uptake here for those dollars, it will be the unions on big building sites that will insist for the "safety" feature IF it is fitted to it.

CFMEU is not interested in capers that result in their members having to fork out $$$$ of their own money. They would rather harass staff members of the Master Builders and slash tyres in carparks and then deny and claim they are a lovely, civil group of lads and lasses.

USD $899 seems like a pretty sharp price.

As a comparison, the Dewalt DWE7491 is $1240. Will have to wait to see what the fence and table are like on the new Compact.
