Another SCMS question
Hi Guys
Looking for a SCMS as a matter of urgency! have several jobs i need to do with it, the first being chopping of jarrah decking (105x35) followed by cross cutting of some 250-300mm marri.. and then on from there! i currently have a very very dodgy cms but wouldnt trust it to go through the jarrah... fine for some crappy pine if i want it rough but nothing more.
I have just been and had a look at the makita and the ryobi's at bunnings.. makita is world apart in smoothness and finish, however i dont really want to outlay $900 when i am also going to need a tablesaw soon too! is there any Mid-range saws that you can recommend to me that are available around perth? maybe the timbecon ones are good? certainly midrange pricewise! carbatec dont do any of their own now.. and Maktec dont make one which is a shame as i have thier circular saw and its pretty impressive!
any help greatly appreciated... second handers also considered!
Thanks
Steve

well following the huge response i plumbed for a belt driven Sherwood SCSB-305-DB . Timbecon had none of the normal 12" saw in so he kindly offered me the belt drive one for the same price.. fantastic! when asked about accuracy he said that out of the box probably not very but it is fully adjustable so will need some setting up if i need it better than out of the factory!
im yet to open it up as its an xmas present.. but apparently they run very quiet, so i'll let you know...
Thanks
Steve
