A bit of trivia re the Sherwood 12 inch Hybrid Cabinet Table Saw.
On page 4 of the manual it identifies it as a Rikon.

I couldn't find anything similar in a quick look on the web; but worth looking further.
Also I think the arrival date has gone out 10 days or so. (???)

What will come first - end of lockdown travel restrictions, or the T/S.

Overall, i looked at a number of threads that spoke individually about these saws and the carbatec one seemed to get more praise overall with less negatives associated. Maybe try looking at othee threads to see if you can find those review comments by other forum members.

Sorry i dont have more details.

    Hi Duncada,

Mine was delivered yesterday, understand it came via the Brisbane port so would assume yours came via the same shipment and is sitting in your workshop. Will hopefully assemble mine over the weekend and was wondering if you have put together yet and if so how it went. There are a few good You Tube videos on the installation process and use which will hopefully make life easier and the instruction manual seems quite detailed so am hopeful will be a fairly simple process.

    Cheers,

    Rudy

    Hi Rudy

Yes i got mine last thursday but only started setting it up on monday evening. I have the main aspects complete and have found it alright so far uaing the instructions and youtube videos. The longest thing for me was getting the side extensions parallel with the main table as i had to do a bit of shimming but got there in the end. Good to know you have it too as im fairly new to the hobby so may reach out if i come across anything myself.

    Cheers

    Rudy and Dan,

Great to hear that you have both got yours and it will be good to hear what you think of them after a week or so.

There must be multiple shipments in the pipeline as when i got serious on plonking money down the available date had gone out to Nov30 so i started looking at alternatives and actually settled on a Harvey Ambassador C200-30. it's due to arrive around the same time in Oz and i was happy to pay more for the cabinet mounted trunnions etc.

    Cheers

    G'day Rudy and Dan,

Any update on how the saw is going for you? I'm thinking of ordering one in the next coupla weeks. I'm in Albury so can't view the saw in person.
