    Default What Sized Saw

Hey Everyone, I’m a first time poster from across the ditch, My new workshop is nearly finished (7m x 9m) and I’m looking at a Harvey 110LGE, I’m trying to decide on 30” or 50” model, can anyone offer some advice please, I am upgrading from Hafco ST254. Cheers

It seems the only differences is the ripping capacity?

7x9m is bigger than my workshop. what about a proper panel saw? I have a 3.8m slider in my workshop which I can only operate a portion of because it needs 7.6m room for it to travel tip to tip. my previous panel saw was a 2.5m slider. you want that capacity if you want to rip a sheet.

That sounds like an awesome saw Albert, As much as I would like a slider, the budget just won’t stretch that far at this stage

I ended up with the Harvey 119lge 50” and recently fitted the sliding table for it, it’s a great saw
