Table Saw blade height
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has any information regarding correct table saw blade height.
I know that the saw is fatu=igued if there is not enough blade, but is there a general saftey rule to follow?
Cheers,
Kane.

I leave mine at full height all the time.
Some people like to set blade height so tooth and gullet just clear the top of the timber.

If the teeth and gullet don't clear the workpiece there can be too much heat, so at least clear the work with the gullet as a rule of thumb.
Full height is reputedly less risky for kickback. I guess the quality of cut may be an issue, depending on the type of material and rate of feed, but trial and error should find a good height if that were the case.

We've had a bit of discussion on this subject before:

Thanks for all the comments guys.
I am having an arguement with a guy at work who is adamant that blade height is not a safety concern.
But I say if the blade is fatigued and the saw is screaming from the extra thickness, than the blade must be at max height.
Anyway we will sort this out somehow.
