For goodness sake guys what are you talking about?!?!?!?!?! bowed tables, minor adjustements, changeing blades, 2 instead of 3 HP ..... get a good machine if you realy want a good deal and at first from my point of view that should be a reputable company not those "home brands" all coming from "Mao shan" painted in different colours.
I recently got a JET JPS 10 (although this one is "Made in China" as well but this one is not a bit different,
she is a BIIIIIIIGGGGGGGG bit different) , she is awsome, perfectly set straight from the box and has printed 1 and 3/4 HP or 1300W and she surrely has that power (if not more than that). Fence (Pro shop) more than perfectly square to the blade and to the table. Table itself perfectly flat.......
Hey...... get a good saw mate and you want regret a single $

Agree. 2 years ago i made the BIG mistake of getting the TS250 from WWWhouse (they now refuse to stock them) and it lasted 4 weeks before the "plastic" threaded sheath for the worm drive on the rise and fall snapped ETA for a replacement 6 - 8 weeks.
There was heaps more wrong with the saw that i carnt remember but would if i had one for 10 minutes, but you would be mad not to go with what Alex has in the Jet JPS10 as its around the same price with out the silly bells and whistles.
I sent mine back and bought the Super Saw and just love it. Hasnt put a foot wrong in 2 years of constant hard use and abuse

Alex is right. Go with a good brand and get a JET. You won’t regret it.

Alex some of those "mayonaise" saw's are very solid, the tsc10hb is a delta unisaw and will last just a long, cut as straight as any JET saw.
There's no way that I would up grade to a supersaw from my mayonaise, it just wouldnt be worth it. If I was to start again yes I'd seriously consider the JET.
JET is not the king of the hill(but good enough for us!) there are better brands and their price tags show it.
Honestly if price was no consideration would you buy a JET SS or a Powermatic PM2000 or even a Sawstop ?....................................................................

As I understand it all the basic saws come out of the same kind of factory in one province in China. The Jet folk have their own quality controllers in the factories and for that you pay a substantial premium.
All saws need to be checked once assembled. See the recent test on the Fine woodworking website for variations measured in reputable 10" contractor saws.
Run a dial indicator over yours Alex and let us know how it shapes up.Cheers, Ern

Harry 72, mate, if the money was at consideration I would specialy order a "Messerschmidt" that I had years, years ago (in fact that was my fathers saw which I, as a kid, was alowed to use every now and than until my ....teens) That was a saw made in late 1950-es and lately I haven't seen a saw built as solid, as simple and as everlasting as that one. Unfortunately war in Bosnia managed to destroy even such a solid thing, and today I somehow found JET product not even a close as that "Messerschmidt",but quiet solid product and in the price range that I, as a weekend warior can afford. But I have to tell you there are a lot of good products in the world sold in Australia and some this market have never heard of. I was an interstate truck driver in Europe (still am here) and four trucks and trailers have delivered combination machine from Germany to Turkey . One combination machine (table/panel saw, shaper and thicknesser/jointer) was loaded in four trucks and four trailers from the company that does machines for Mercedes, MAN...... and company is called "Roeden-Scheuerbach" (located in town Bochum in central western Germany)That company doesn't have own brand and they usually do not go on the marked as they do machines for such big companies as those, and Steuer, Sisu, Volkswagen, Pinzgauer, Puch,..... and others wher I use to do deliveries and I tell you THAT IS A PRODUCT but again that product is not for me, I am just a weekend warior. Weekend-world is my world which air I breath. Of course if I had won lottery,..... oooooohhhhh that would be a different world, Felder, Altendorf readily available in Australia, awsome machines, and that would required a bigger shed and bigger house,..... but who cares I won a lottery, and than........ I woke up from the beautiful dream

Big shed,
I think a good brand like JET is more reliable. You know you will get a good machine.
Sure no name machines can be good too BUT you have a much greater chance of getting a bad one.
As for the power, 1.75hp is enough for me. I use a rip blade and I can cut those Sydney Blue Gum and iron bark all day.Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com

Have just returned from a visit to Leda Machinery and was quite impressed.
They had the sliding table model on show with the Biesemeyer style fence.
The saws are NOT made in China, they are made in Taiwan like the Jet. The motors are marked 3hp, but Leda list them at 2hp. They are single belt drive, unlike the TSC10HB. There is quite a difference between the standard fence, which they had on a TSC10B contractor style saw, and the Biesemeyer copy. If I went this way I would buy it with the Biesemeyer style fence, although I would go for the fixed table, not the sliding table model, as I want to fit my Incra LS fence to it.
Purchased with the saw the upgraded fence is about $200 extra, bought separately afterwards $286 inc GST, either way well worth the money. This fence is identical to that on the TSC10HB.
I also put a straightedge across the table and it looked pretty flat to me.

Ok, so if I was looking at Jet....
would the JET*JWSS-10CSPF-S, be a good choice?
The cutting capacity - even with the sliding table don't seem to be that impressive - even compared with the TSC-10. 760mm versus 715mm....

Look, TSC10HB is awsome machine undobtely, probably the best one Mao shan ever built. Why I went for JPS 10 JET is this. I have to the house only one phase and only one lead to the shed rated 16 amp. That would be enough for the TSC 10 HB and I was about to put the money down but.... hey how about dustie??????? When I plug in another 2 HP suddenly start smelling things flowing around....... your shed is burning. When I finaly realised that I am not a profesional wodworker I went for JPS 10 (1 3/4 HP) and for me - enough and question 760mm against 715mm..... mate anything over 660 mm gives you room to cut a full sheet of MDF or particleboard lenghtwise in half. If you are not happy with that get yourself a big panellsaw. "Big shed" mate,.... years ago I've read in one car magazine about car enthusiast somewhere in Italy who bought Fiat 750, small car, and he was so desperat (or was he just a having a fun???) to make a good , the best car in the world. He was stretching and weidening the car, making bigger chasis rails and all sorts of upgrades to fit a Ferrari 308 GTB engine inside a car of the size.... let's say..... smaller than Mitsubishi Colt. Everything was mathematicaly calculated and overengineired , engine fit, everything ready to go and when he released a clutch whole car collapsed and he ended up with a pile of junk which wasn't Fiat 750, and wasn't Ferrari 308 GTB. Money invested into the project (I do not remember exact numbers that was 20 or so years ago) not including his time, was more than worth of the brand new Ferarri 308 GTB?????
What was the point?
Don't get me wrong my dear friend. Your money-your choice. What are you going to buy is entirely up to you and your decision, and conditions you are in. I have nothing to do with JET and their product. I had a good machine, and than I had a bad machine, and than I had a good one, and than nothing at all and than i bought JET JPS 10 and ..... again I am not pushing you or anyone reading this to buy this machine, but I just am telling you one simple thing - I didn't do a mistake
Regards and I am wishing you and everyone who is buying a table saw all the best, and the choice you make - only you have to live with, noone else.

Spartan, dont get tied up on width of cut as you can buy aftermarket rails(or make your own...)to increase the width.
I increased my tsc to a ripping width of 920mm just by moving over the ripfence's rails one bolt hole and drilling one hole.....................................................................
