    Question table saws

    Hi all.
Thinking to purchase table saw with sliding table. Have narrowed it down to timbecon TS250sc panel saw for $2300 or TS250 sliding table for $1800 . What are the main difference between the 2 or can anyone suggest an alternative . Ideasit would be appreaciated .
    Thankyou Kepp

This topic has been covered in the forums - do a search.
It depends on your main use - a sliding table is great as long as it is accurate and especially if you are cutting sheets - if you are cutting sheets look for one with a scribing blade.
I have a jet supersaw with a sliding table that suits my needs and was about the price of your 250 sc.

The SC has a better sliding table setup, but still doesnt handle a standard size sheet.

If you really want to get a sliding table saw that handles full sheets you're going at least double your buget, the cheapest around is a Leda at $3700 http://ledamachinery.com.au/catalogu...roducts_id=108
    or from MWE http://www.majorwoodworking.com.au/c...roducts_id=227
the next step up is $7K+(real panel saws... scoring blade and 3 phase power)
