Table saw/ thicknesser/ spindle moulder/ jointer
Hi guys, I've been lurking on the forums for a while now looking at peoples opinions on machinery.
I've found some tools for sale and would like to get some opinions on wether they are good or not.
The guy is selling a hafco ST-12 table saw with large sliding table. It is stamped as being built in 98.
He also has a carbatec yms-01a spindle shaper built in 93.
There is also a carbatec sa-406 13 inch thicknesser built in 93.
Last up is a carbatec 6 inch jointer. Not sure of the model though.
All tools run and operate as expected however the adjustments are quite stiff as the guy says the haven't been used since his son moved out 5 years ago.
He is asking $2250 for the lot.
As this is around the sort of money you can spend on a decent tablesaw I'm wondering if there is any reason not to buy the lot.
I look forward to hearing your opinions.

For fully functioning it sounds like a bargain, just check that all moving parts and guideways are free of major rust or pitting. Surface rust can be removed with a Scotch-Brite pad and WE-40 should free most moving parts, but you may need to take some things apart to get it all moving freely again.
Allow a few hundred dollars to sharpen/replace blades and you'll end up with an almost complete setup (just need a bandsaw and a sander). Also invest in a decent dust extraction system as shapers and thicknessers can kick up lots of husband chips.
Post some pics if you end up buying, it's always fun to make people jealous

I just pulled the trigger and put a down payment.
Now I have to just hurry up and build my shed so I have space to work.
Will post pictures when I pick the tools up.
P.S. If anyone knows any good/cheap concretors on the southside I could sure use the info.
