Great. After the equipment you were previously using you are going to find the difference in accuracy, productivity and enjoyment to be amazing.

Gee, you're younger than I thought
The foot stop probably got pushed at some stage during its travels and needs to be pulled back out to reset.
Are you lucky enough to be outside the Melbourne lockdown zone?

OMG - got the saw cleaned up - found that the foot stop was pushed in. Once that was pulled out all good. cant believe the power, cant believe nothing shakes or rattles it is very impressive.

Cleaned and oiled the blade riser still a little stiff but workable. i might have to remove the cast iron top and clean it properly as its a bit hard to get to all th parts. Any adivice?

    Did you do this?
I also lubricate the dovetail that the whole assembly slides up and down on.

I expect you already know this, but be careful what you lubricate the mechanisms with. Grease will gather the dust and the mix will set hard over time. Maybe oil is not a great choice either. You don’t want silicon either as it will eventually get on your workpieces and prevent finishing. There should be plenty of advice on this if you search.
