    Default Tablesaw motor short

My delta unisaw trips the cuircut breaker every time .The problem just started. The cuircut is ok as it will run my compressor.I read some older articles saying it was the starter compacitor.Which one is the starter and how do I test it ? I have a digital multimeter.

I don't want to sound rude or demeaning in any way, but if you don't know where the start capacitor is, I think it is time to call an electrician. Oh, and I doubt that it is the start capacitor that is causing the breaker to trip.

I have had one develop this fault- sparky says it is not a short as such but an earth leakage problem that often develops with age. With old fashioned fuses not a problem. Fixed by rewind.
I am not electrically qualified, but hope this post helps
