Carbatec ctj 650 trunnion alignment HELP!
Hi me again!
Playing around with my table saw again tonight (carbatec ctj-650) trying to set up the parallel from the mitre slot to the saw. I loosened off the trunnion and gave it a few whacks as the blade was out to the rear. Tightened up bolts again and was getting close front and rear of blade to the point where it was smack on. I re-attached the motor and was out again 0.01
Took off again and loosened bolts I actually found I could move the trunnion by hand. By tightening I could put pressure where needed to bring back to zero once again.
Now that the motor is back on it goes back out of alignment! I can physically move the gauge just by putting pressure on the trunnion.
As I type the rear is now out 0.005 but with a little pressure back to 0.002. The bolts are very tight.
Am I being too picky? I read the aim is 0.001 which I can achieve briefly. I don't particularly want to have to set up saw each time I do a few cuts!
Also checked the arbor which is out by approx 0.0025
Any help greatly appreciated!
