Default tsc-10hb table saw vs Mj2325A

    Hi Guys,
Yet another first posting woody in the maket for a new table saw.
Can I please have some advise on the
    MJ2325a 10 and the tsc-10hb
    The mj-2325a
Will it take a Dado blade? Is it 15 amp power? Size of the dust port and effectiveness of collection?
Is the table flat and does it continue to run smoothly with use?
    The tsc- 10hb
I have seen the posts speak highly of this saw. But does it come with a sliding table?

    Thanks
    Mazi

    Mazi,

Don't really have any answers but I too am interested to know if the TSC-10HB will take a Dado blade - I'm thinking that the answer is yes but can someone confirm?

Hope you get your other Q's answered
    Cheers.

Yes, it will definitely take a dado blade.

I think you can get a sliding table as an extra. I don't have one (sliding table) though so I could well be wrong about that.

I have no idea what a mj2325a is.

    Cripes!

That's half of what I paid for the saw.

Who makes it? Not even CMT are that expensive.

I don't think that there is a sliding table for the TSC10HB, but I've adapted mine to take the Triton sliding extension table. Takes only a few moments to attach or remove.

So if you have the Triton sliding table don't sell it but keep it for the TSC10HB.

I thought there was one. Have a look at the Carba-tec and Timbecon sites.

A sliding table - unless it is a really big table that will take an 8 x 4 sheet - might not be an essential optional extra.... just a thought.

TSC10HB Yes you can get a sliding table and they will take a dado set up to about 18~20mm depending on the dado set.
What 8" dado set cost's $545, I got the freud dial'a'dado set for under $450 that includes importing it from Rocklers USA.
MJ2325 cant say much more that what the stockists mention on their websites. Although they come in, a b c ab cb and g configurations... take your pick!
I've checked them out at the WWWshow and find the TSC10HB is probably a more solid saw but the MJ's still will do the job quite fine and give many years of service.
I presume being from SA its the Leda saws your looking at.

Is there any difference between the Carbatec TSC-10HB and the Timbecon TSC-10HB (other than colour)?

The 2325 saw will not take a dado blade. The arbour is not long enough. Try searching this forum for 2325 and you will find out more about it. They are a 15A machine. From memory only a single belt drive as opposed to a triple belt on the tsc-10hb. Spend the extra on the heavier saw if you can afford it.

Sorry Mazi, you were initially looking at a MJ2325a 10 vs tsc-10hb (around $1200-$1600) but then you got the tc-12 (around $2700)??

    Crikey! (Jealous)

I presume it's because you found weaknesses with both your initial choices?
