woodfast saw manual anyone??
Hello all,
I am new to this forum and have bought this old Woodfast machine to mess about with. It doesnt cut true at present and probably needs a bit of a service. I am hoping someone out there could photocopy (ill pay postage etc) the manual or point me in the direction of a cyber copy. I have the lathe attachment and the morticing bits and a large sanding disc for it. I have been using the jointer bit as a bit of a thicknesser but have had trouble with the hardwood hopping about on the blades. Is there an attachment or method to hold the wood firmly down on the blades?
Apologies for any incorrect terminology. Any advice greatly appreciated

In regards to the timber hopping about on the jointer, this usually means that the blades are blunt. And it is only used for jointing edges or getting boards flat, not thicknessing
I'd also be giving the tops a good clean up to remove all the rust. From the image you've shown, you can see where you've feed the timber over the jointer and I'd bet that you had to really push the timber and at the same time struggled to hold it down due to blunt blades. I also hope the the cover for the jointer still has a spring on it and you're using it, as it is there to protect you if you slip and keep your fingers away from the spinning blades.
