Woodfast Tablesaw
Hey There,
I am Looking at getting a table saw, and Carb-a-tec have a Woodfast 10 saw that has a Sliding section on the Table, I have nearly convinced myself that I need It, Has anyone out there had any experience with them?, I am Budgeting about $1500 (If I get the Woodfast from Carb-a-tec I will have Change) Is there anywhere else in Perth that I should be looking at??
Thanks in advance

Hey Hutch,
Thanks for the honest opinion.
That has crossed my mind, I am off to the Hare and Forbes guys next week and also Ron Mack Machinery, I will also call into Carb-a-tec and have a look there, I am also looking in the quokka (local traders Mart Paper) and Gumtree ( another Trader site)

HazzaB. Have to agree with Hutch. The sliding table is an absolute mongrel to get set up right. I'm trying to nut out a modification to make the adjustment simpler. And the switch on the side sticking out sideways is a pain in the bum so to speak, catches my shorts and anything else that moves past it too close. I wound up repositioning it on a 90 degree bracket so it faces towards the operator. Otherwise, the saw works very well....regards Twosheds.

I went to the Adelaide Wood show and looked at the Carbatec, Woodfast, Jet etc and was not impressed with them at all.
All the ones I looked at were too rough And the ones with sliding tables were too flimsy
I have recently bought a CS1012 table saw from Gpw for $ 1375.00.
The dust extraction on this saw is EXCELLANT

Couple of years ago I got a Leda and crawled over it checking alignment, tolerances etc and was quite happy.
I have a WF bandsaw (the 350) and it's a bit 'agricultural' but appreciate their other lines aren't necessarily the same.Cheers, Ern
