Woodman (GPW 10/12) tablesaw question
Hi. I just bought one of these saws - from Major Woodworking though the same saw as is sold as the GPW 10/12. There was no blade included. I got on to Major who agreed there should be and say they will send one out. I"m now wondering if there was anything else that should have been included with the blade - I'm thinking perhaps a wrench of some sort for removing the blade ?????
If not, how do people remove the blade. The only way I can see is to poke a punch into the little holes in the inner flange. Something will break if I keep that up.
cheers

You should have got an spanner to remove the arbor saw nut.

Yep, I got the spanner (flat black thing), but how do you lock the spindle to prevent it turning while you remove the nut?

I have the same saw I think
I will go into the shed and see if I can workout what you mean.
I have only changed the blade once, from memory just use a scrap piece of wood againt the blade to stop it turning, but as you don't have one, you might need to wait until you get one.
Is this the same as yours?

I shove a philips head screwdriver into the holes on the inner flange. A 'C' spanner would be better but I don't have one.
Mine (from GPW) didn't come with a blade. I had to purchase a blade seperately. Those were the droids I was looking for.

Hey Arron.....I have same table saw......I did not get a blade with mine and that was fine as the blades you get with these lower end table saws are not great and so bought my own. I got a spanner that had one end for the riving knife and the other end for the arbor nut. You use a piece of scrap wood up against the blade to undo. When putting on the blade do the same but no need to over tighten as the rotational torque will keep it there snug.
I like my saw now but it took alot of tuning effort and money to get it set-up right!
