Woodman (GPW 10/12) tablesaw router wing - any good
Hi. I have recently purchased a Woodman 12/12 table saw (same as the Gary Pye model very popular on this forum). I'm wondering about getting the optional router wing. If it works out, I can ditch my old router table and save a bit of space. Anyone have one of these saws with router wing attached ?? How do you find it ? How do you attach the router ? Do you use the tablesaw fence as the router fence ? What about dust extraction ?
Also, can you keep the standard rhs tabletop extension, and have the router wing attached to that ?
Or maybe I should just make my own router wing ? thoughts anyone ....
cheers

Hi Arron ,
I have this router wing with the fence to suit, I am happy enough with it,
I have used the table saw fence a couple of times but mostly use the router fence.
I went this way rather than have a separate router table because of the lack of room in my shed.

Ok, so I went and bought one anyway. Available from Trend Timber for $160 or Major Woodworking for $120 - same thing though.
What I did was leave the Rhs extension wing in place, and mount the router wing as the second extension. Required drilling 3 holes in the existing wing and one in each of the front and rear rails.Result is its fixed very solid. Mounting my Makita router was striaghtforward. Although relatively small for a router table its fine for my basic use, and its dead flat to the table top so it gives me a very wide, dead flat work surface. It doesnt come with a fence, so you need to make something to ride on the tablesaw fence.Apologies for unnoticed autocomplete errors.
