Watching the promo video and reading the advertising, I have never before seen something marketed so much for the things that it CAN'T do and were deliberately designed out of it.
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Only from the US, the spiritual home of spin and marketing. The money must have been burning a hole in your pocket. Do you still have to square the blade to the mitre slots, at that price it should do it for you.

    looks like very good quality

cant figure out why the US always wants so much for shipping, even if you want something quite small that would fit in a padded bag they still want $US90 for shipping
I doubt you would pay much more than 20 quid from the UK for shipping for that

    just my 2c

The fed gov's gst component on (imported goods & freight costs) wouldnt have helped with the total amount payable.

Customs Duty -Import Goods and Service Tax Calculator -Duty Rates Paid

The same rule applies to imported goods from the U,K.

If you have the time have a squiz on ebay for vintage tools, and look at the postal costs from the U.K and the USA. Its no longer comercially viable to buy them outside of OZ.

What operating system does it run...Windows or Mac OS??

I feel that way about some home appliances too, e.g. kettles. Prices range from $10 plastic Kmart up to several hundred $ pretty coloured metal ones. When a "team member" was trying to sell me one of the latter, I just had to ask "What else does it do?"

You sure about that? It looks like everything can be swapped around

I think Incra's Miter Express and their excellent HD and SE gauges as well as other quality gauges, available locally make this new Woodpecker offering very strange
