Hi Owen, I'm intrigued by how you have mounted the Incra. Any chance of a few pics? Peter

Hi Repete, I have attached some pics which illustrate the attachment of the Incra. I made the aluminium slider which i drilled and tapped, as i intended to utilise the slot but it would have contacted the blade so i drilled clearance holes in the end plate so the screws from the incra pass through the plate and are secured in the slider. It works a treat. I have included a pic of my off paddle as i found using the tiny off button a real hazard. Regards Owen

Great solution, Owen!! I have the squaring table with mine but never take the fence off 90* because I have it on the lead end of the slider & would need to move the table backwards to accomodate angled cuts. Too much trouble!! I have the V27 Incra for the router table & the bandsaw & will see how easily I can make it work on the Minimax.
Your paddle idea is brilliant & I will steal it with glee! I really wonder what SCM were thinking when they put it in the current position. My previous saw was a Jet Proshop & the paddle stop was a joy (as was the saw).
The vinyl that I taped to the cover plate is too brittle & no longer works as a zero clearance, but still stops the slivers falling in the gap, so back to the drawing board. I know that 3mm aluminium plate will just squeeze under the slider when mounted on the top of the cover plate & will explore that option.
One more query. Do you use the spindle moulder? Peter

Hi Peter, i bought the W647 cutter head from Hare & Forbes and have given it a test run - it worked fine. I would like to get a panel cutter but the prices are horrendous. When i had my Lab22 i had the fitting to run 1/2 inch router cutters but i sold it with the machine. SCM do make one for the C26/30 but want $600 which is ridiculous for what it is. I even looked into having one custom machined but that was also expensive for a one off. I have a triton router table which meets most of my routing/machining needs so far. Owen

Interesting solution. I did it a different way.

I created a new "bar" from HDPE that fits snugly into the slot on my CU300. I just slide it out if it is going to be in the way but most of the time it stays in the sliding table.

I created this from HDPE material I bought from Carbatec, then used a table saw and router table with a rebate bit.

Hi Mark, I see from your pic that the CU300 slider slot provides plenty of clearance for the head of the Incra. Just shows that there are always many ways to "skin the cat" Owen
