Benchtop Carbatec 200mm vs Sherwood 6in cast iron Jointer
Both are benchtop but there are significant differences. Looking at either of them for light duties in garage workshop. Timber size I'm working with is usually shorter than 1800mm, mostly below 1500mm.
Any thoughts on either of them or perhaps actual experience?

I don't have any of these units but I do have a 6" Jointer which has a true spiral helical head with TCT inserts which is what the Timbecon unit is. The Carbatec unit has a segmented head even though they call it spiral, so there is no shearing cut. It also only has HSS cutters compared to carbide in the Sherwood.
