Where to buy quality 16" thicknesser blades
Hi everyone.
I have a fifteen year old Carbatec 16 inch thicknesser for which I would like to buy a new set of three blades.
Carbatec doesn't carry the 16" model any more, so I am asking if anyone can direct me to a supplier of quality blades for my machine.
A set is three blades.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks from Tele Point

Most sharpening shops should be able to supply them, they may have to cut them to length

What are the blade dimensions? Jet have a 16" unit that uses 409.5 x 25.4 x 7.2mm blades.

Thanks Rutger,
Mine are the same as the Jet as I have discovered by measuring.
Contacted Gary Pye and he is providing me with a set.
16" long 1" wide x 1/8" thick with no
holes in blade
Thanks to all for the interest

PS:
Here is an interesting tidbit.
In 1994 the cost of replacement blades was $52 a set. ( from the old Carbatec pricelist)
With the average rate of inflation since then running at 3% the replacement cost today works out at $82.
Guess what .............................they now cost $80!
