"If you're looking for high quality at JET prices, your only option may be to inspect/measure the tables on a JET or Carbatec machine at the depot/supplier before accepting delivery. These days, probably 80% of machines from these suppliers are OK, and you just have to make sure you avoid the other 20%. "
That would be great except that at Carbatec I asked them if they setup the machines at all. NO they don't even open them...just leave it to the customer. (Someone fitted an Oz plug and the box showed the refitting of the lid )
I am hoping that my learning curve will reveal my inaccuracy before the machines I have reveal theirs...

spoke to Gregory's when they first started with Laguna (6-8 months ago?) and they said that bringing other machines would be seriously looked at (e.g. over/under combo).
O'course there's only one way to advance that and that is for them to receive more and more enquiries about other machines. That is to say: give them a call and find out when they'll start bringing in the combo et al. You never know what you may learn.....might be just a few months away.
I'm not too good at taking "No" for an answer.

Forgot to mention......they ( Gregory's) are bringing in a Jet clone.....looks prettier and it should be here soon. They did offer me one but I couldn't wait. I have a pic. somewhere. The estimated price was about $300 cheaper. Pick up from freight depot was the best delivery option.

Go and check the beds with a straight edge - if ok then that would be a very good price and a very usable width.
