carba tec 10 inch planer thicknesser combo
hi all,
i was at carba tec a few weeks ago and came across their 10 inch combo unit.
it had a hellical cutting head on it.
does anyone have one, or used one?
if so, what is the quality like?
does it have many issues with it, and if so, what are they.
how is the dust collection?
having a 1 1/2 hp motor, when dressing hardwoods, is there a lot of load on the machine, especially with the hellical cutting head?
the unit i saw also came with a cast iron fence.
thanks

Do you know what model you were looking at by any chance? AFAIK this is there current model Carba-Tec® 10" Planer Thicknesser - Cabinet Base : CARBA-TEC and it has an alloy fence and a standard 3 blade head on it.
