Carbatec 330
I`ve recently aquired a second hand BX 330 P, the setup is that the blade has 2 cutting edges the reason I suppose is for stability having a solid straight edge that prevents sideways movement. So my question is," is it ok to use 4 sided blades as replacements ?" being the same specs 14 mm x 14 mm x 2mm -30 degrees. or am I dicing with death? TIA

The reason they have 2 straight edges is because the flat side is used to seat the insert against the block. I'd stick with the proper shape; 4-sided inserts might work, but there is a heightened risk of them not seating properly and/or cracking.
