    Default Carbatec TJ-X250C

I have just bought this helical head model & test cuts are showing some snipe when planing.
I would like to talk to any Woodies with this machine about adjusting the outfield table. Peter

    Hi Peter,

how are you finding this machine? I'm considering getting one at some stage - have you sorted the snipe?

    Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff, I am very happy with the machine. The finish is so good that I am sometimes sanding 180 grit off the machine. The snipe is unresolved & I just allow an extra 20mm. It is also possible to remove it with a light cut as the last pass when thicknessing. I believe the larger machine has an adjustable outfield table which may be a consideration. The digital scale is accurate & a real bonus & the changeover is quick & easy. The only down side is dust extraction & that is possibly my setup. Peter

    Thanks for that Peter,

sounds like a good unit - I'm not 100% sure what I'll end up getting but it's great to know that you're happy with this one.

    Thanks again, Jeff
