Default Carbon Brushes For Jet Thicknesser

Hello there, Does anyone know where I can buy a set of carbon brushes for a Jet JWP13DX Thicknesser in Australia, specifically Brisbane? I was thinking of retro fitting a generic brand rather than sourcing a set from overseas. But having trouble sizing the originals.

    Any help would be appreciated

Have you tried contacting Carbatec as they are in your area and are a major Jet seller.

I managed to find a set of brushes. But I now have a new problem....... After putting the new brushes in and starting the machine its died after 15 seconds (under no load), then checked the brushes and they have disintegrated?????
i double checked part numbers and they match, so there must be another issue going on.

    any ideas?

So I pulled the motor apart and found the issue. The commutator is in bad condition. I don't think it can be fixed?

Just on the carbon brushes.... Whilst in industry we used a Sydney firm "De Rossi Industrial" to make all our carbon brushes for motors from all across the world...good service!!

I think that armature is dead. It is no wonder the brushes integrated.
You could try putting a request in this forum to see if someone has one that has died in some other way but still has a good armature. That would be the only way of repairing it economically.
