Clutch setting on Shopmate RAS
I am replacing the shaft bearings on my Shopmate 5200 and have not been able to find any info on torque settings for the clutch, in fact very little mention of it at all.
Wondered if anyone had any info or experience with this to share
Cheers

Clutch
Realised that it is quite easy to work out.
Available torque from 1350w motor geared to 3450rpm and guessing O/A efficiency of 80% is approx. 2.1 ft lbs.so will set it @ 1.5 to protect rhe motor.
Would have been interesting to see a published value.

Hey, if you are still out there could you help with info on your rebuild please.
I have a 5200 T4 and there seems to be quite few of them still working away. I want to replace the main bearings and bring the whole machine up to as new as possible - mechanically anyhow!
Torque settings, bearing sizes, bits to watch out for, other things that should be replaced are the sorts of things I am after.
If I can get the correct bearings etc lined up I may well put up a you tube video of the whole rebuild.
Thanks in advance,
David
