    Hi,
Thanks for the feed back. Often one tries to help and does not hear any more, anyway glad I was right. A minor error on brush type motors, but dicey to explain to some one not into these things. I had to replace my rotor and field when my unit over revved due to running with no load as I was messing around deciding what to put through next. That is some thing to watch out for, don,t let it run free for too long, unless you have the next piece ready to feed in switch off.
Hope it does what you want and you get good service out of it.
    Regards

P/s mine is an AP13AK, obviously a later model with extra safety features.

Great mate, glad you got it working. Looks like someone had put the field windings back in reverse.

It's a common misconception you can reverse an AC motor by changing the wires around at the plug and I've seen some people do some extraordinarily stupid stuff (changing the active and earth around) trying
