    Default Delta thicknesser feed roller

My Delta 12 1/2" thicknesser has had ongoing problems with the feed roller. The original one developed a longitudinal split and I replaced it at great expense. The new one, now has decided not to feed the stock without lots of assistance (pushing). I have been cleaning the base plate and using silicon spray to make it slippy, but the timber won't feed with any decent depth of cut as it has done in the past. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what did you do about it?
    Cheers
    Graeme

    Hey mate,

I have the same thicknesser as you and experienced the same problem a few months ago. I posted a thread https://www.woodworkforums.com/f154/t...g-down-123422/

In the end I applied wax to the infeed/outfeed rollers as well as the base on the inside.

The problem is solved, at least temporarily, by waxing the baseplate with some green mould release wax. I didn't think that wax on the drive rollers would be a good idea, I don't want them to slip!

    Default slipping

I had this problem with my rexon, I bought a sheet of 2mm Teflon and double sided taped it to the base instead of the st. st. sheet.

It's been a great sucess, much smoother feed
