Not a big issue - I just knew that mine was made in 1976 or so (I bought it in 1978) - and misread your post.

The age comment was a throw away line in any case, I mainly wanted to point out that some at least had a riving knife and give some advice on ripping to a new owner - these can be dangerous for unwary users.

    Default DeWalt DW1251 Switch

Next is a short section behind the fence that is 2" deep and behind that is a 6" deep section. I believe there should have been a small side table but I have replaced mine making the whole table width 48" as it is built in to a long bench. I hope this helps. If you need it I also have a copy of the manual for the De Walt 1251 on the computer in PDF format. If you need it drop me a line or your e-mail address and I can send it to you. I am not sure if it has the dimensions of the tables in it though. HTH.
Does the manual show the connections to the on / off switch. Mine has been completely disconnected & I cannot seen to find the right terminals. Help please.

I have bougt a second hand DW1251, though I t seems something wrong on the vertical cylindrical shape that ensures radial arm goes up and down. As I do not have a mnaual I wonder whether you would mind to send me an electronic copy of the manual.

    Many thanks in advance

    Question Request.

Hi. Hope one of you gents may be able to help. Finally got one, DW1251. Bit dishevelled and in need of TLC. Just wondering if anyone has the PDF manual for this saw as the parts list is fine but does not show me how things relate to one another. (not sure what if anything is missing.

    Any advice gratefully received.

    Thanks in anticipation.

    Thanks Conwood,

Received them fine and have printed them, I will bind it latter this morning so I can add it to my collection of tool manuals
If you have lots of tips and tricks about RAS's you should create a document as there would be a few on the forum that would appreciate it.

    Thanks again

    Warrick

    Hi Warrick.
I'd be grateful if you could email me a copy of the DW1251 manual please. Guard on mine is in bits and the parts drawing on Dewalt website is about as much use as a chocolate fire-guard. Not enough detail. Wholeheartedly agree about Conwood creating a 'tips & tricks' doc.

    Many thanks
    Regards
    Tufty.
