Durden P600 Jointer - worth anything?
Hi all,
We are cleaning out our workshop at work (big supermarket products type company). I have spied a Durden P600 jointer, which has a fair bit of surface rust on the table which will be spare. I reckon if I can have it for a minimal sum. It probably has been used once per year for the last 5 years, and I would have thought is 20 years old. Blades have more chips than flat surfaces. Adjustments are a bit seized up, but nothing a bit of yield spray won't fix. Motor goes. I would have thought it has not been cared for particularly well.
It is worth it? I was thinking of offering $50.
Cheers,
Tom

If you can get it for $50 what have you got to loose.
Do a search on here for restoring old machinery. There are some great threads to give you some ideas. Those were the droids I was looking for.

It is worth more than $50 if you get it restored. The blades are not hard to replace and otherwise Durden typically made god quality machines. Go for it!
Have a nice day - Cheers
