    Default Footprint - Sherwood 6in Benchtop Spiral Head Jointer

    I have just ordered Sherwood's 6in benchtop spiral head jointer and need to build a trolley to move it around in my small workshop.

    I checked the specs on the Timbercon website and elsewhere on the internet but can't find the footprint measurements to help me with sizing up the trolley.

    Help !!!! Much appreciated,

    Cant help with exact footprint dimensions but I built a trolley for a 6'' benchtop jointer last year. If you have the space I would suggest making the top wide enough to stack a few boards alongside the machine. Made the top near enough 700mm square. I did intend bolting it down but found the rubber feet hold it just fine so for me the exact footprint was not critical.

    Thanks for the excellent suggestion! Having the space alongside the machine to stack a few boards make a lot of sense! The space I have available to park the little beast will determine to some extend how wide the top will be!

    As there isn't a lot of information coming forth here, have you considered going directly to Timbecon with an email to get them to measure up for you.
